Waiting to cross the road, I told a colorfully dressed old White woman that I love her peacock design earrings. She told me she's returning from the Hare Rama Hare Krishna parade. I told her I'm from India and she started telling me about her Guru. Walking towards home, she told me she's looking for an apartment. I took her to my building and we inquired about availabilities. She might move in to my building from next week!
A lot can happen over a pair of nice earrings!

Seat in the subway

I stood up and offered my seat to an old man standing in the subway. He didn't sit and offered the same seat to a middle aged woman standing next to him.

Long Distance Relationships

I asked someone if they believed in long distance relationships.
The answer was... "Absolutely! All the 4 people love it!"

The Cabbie

While getting off the cab at the airport, I realized that I have left my passport home! I quickly asked the cabbie to take me back home ASAP and started praying that I don't miss my flight to India. On the way, the cabbie told me that he'll only charge me half the rate for the return trip. After reaching JFK in time for my flight, I tipped the cabbie well. On this he said that I shouldn't have tipped him because I had spent too much on the commute. I told him he's too nice, on which he replied with a smile... "You gotta be human".
